Workflows on Legacy Plan

For those of us that have been supporting Softr for a while, are there any limitations to using Workflows? I cannot find information on what our usage limits are anywhere.

My assumption is that Workflows only work on Softr’s database tooling and as such, most of the Softr database’s users are non-legacy plans since Softr database is pretty new.

@nocoder with a legacy plan (even if a old business plan), you are the same limit as free plan… So paid user got an acutal basic plan (59$/month) has more options available than a legacy business plan (199$/month).

@FloAPI is correct. As a legacy business plan customer, paying more than a current professional plan customer, with the much anticipated Softr Workflows I am treated as if I’m not paying for Softr at all (and treated as if I never have, despite being a loyal paying customer for years).

I do have access to workflows, but it is limited to a free plan equivalent and renders them near useless, e.g. 15m polling instead of 1m, and certain modules not being available.

Despite being invited to be a beta tester and providing Softr with free testing and feedback on workflow functions, this is what has happened. I think it is a very poor approach from Softr and has prompted me to look at alternative platforms to move to.

Upgrade requirements were happening for a long time, years in fact. More are happening at a faster rate with the new database, AI, and now Workflows this year. During Softr’s first few years “Legacy” status was a benefit for builders, but not anymore:

@MarkSchofield When I see this kind of commercial practice with legacy customers, it doesn’t make me want to use softr in full stack at all, continue doing beta tests or make word-of-mouth for softr…

They were able to do this for the latest features (Data base, workflows…), so why not continue with the next features in the coming months or years?

Kudos to builders in this thread and others in the community for expressing how they really feel about Softr’s pricing and access to new features. I think Softr is a great concept, but we’ve witnessed its customer focus slipping, especially with the decision to exclude legacy customers from its new features at corresponding plan levels this year. We hope to see more of this kind of transparency from builders, so Softr is more motivated to improve its features in a way that benefits not only legacy customers, but more builders regardless of their use case in keeping with Softr’s original mission to “democratize app building”.

Nice job builders!
