I am checking this issue with our tech team now. May I please ask you to contact us via support chat? You can mention this thread in the chat for us to take faster actions.
@FPX we cannot assume this is a bug and need to get access to your app before hand to ensure the dynamic conditions are not making this happen. In these scenarios, it’s best to contact live support so they can view your app and see what’s going on.
I have had this issue for a long time now.
It seems to be when a user is created from Airtable and synced into Softr that eventually the status flicks to ‘Activated’ @Marine.Hovhannisyan has tested but the test is from a different source (created in Softr) so the result wont be the same as I get.
Also its only happening for some users but i havent figured out what the anomaly is on them (they had definitely NOT interacted with webpage or been invited).
I do have a status field in my users table called ‘Active’ which is for conditional filtering for those users on certain page’s. The users are added that status in Airtable before theyre invited so wonder if Softr API is reading that as its a similar status name to softrs ‘Activated’
Hi @FPX we investigated this issue and confirmed that this is the way it needs to be at the moment given all of the logic involved. We do have plans to improve it in the future, but don’t have any dates at the moment.
A. 1) If you access that invited user in “Preview mode” of your app they will become activated
A. 2) ???
A. 3) ???
A. 4) ???
Q.2) What timeframe is the expiry set to on the ‘accept-invitation’?
A. 1) ???
Q. 3) How do we know invites are expired?
A.1) ???
Q. 4) How do we trust Activated status is accurate going forward and what measures will Softr put in place? We need to be able to trust Softr to accurately have users sign in and log in to the app which unfortunately is currently not happening with issues like this. There’s no point in Softr working on a back end if it cant handle the front end logic - Surely this is the number one focus that Softr should have wouldnt you agree?
