Hey guys,
I have a one-time payment product for the first time which I now used as a criteria for free vs premium users.
Somehow, this does not seem to work as a criteria? Am I doing something wrong or is this just not working?

hi! I assume you’re using our stripe integration for this? And referring to those rules of the loggedin user to place them in the user groups?
If that’s the case, you should bring this to support so they can see what’s going on as it might be a bug.
Yess, I’m chatting with support now, they don’t have a solution yet, but fingers crossed.
Just launched a big marketing campaign today, and now everyone is paying without being upgraded
Glad everyone is paying. Maybe you can find a creative way to achieve the same thing without the payment method as it’s currently not working?
If you’re using airtable, maybe you can find a way to see if a purchase happens and update the user record appropriately which you can then use to update the user groups?
This doesn’t sound good @Tim_ClimatEU. Since others rely on this integration, please follow up here with the issue and resolution. Hope it gets resolved soon!
Yes, I created some Airtable automations for now and added a rule based on a checkbox I created, so not super smooth, but at least it works. Got some angry messages of confused clients, but well, it is what it is.
Support hasn’t yet figured out what the problem is, unfortunately @Ben
Thanks @Tim_ClimatEU. As a paying builder, Softr should have gotten to the bottom of this, like yesterday.
It’s not clear what your configuration/workflow is here. Sounds like you’re manually changing users’ paid status’ with a checkbox in AT?
No no, not manually. I just send the payment email to Airtable, then find the user based on that email via an automation and tick a checkbox that the user has paid for this lifetime access.
Not sure where the “payment email” is coming from, but regardless may create a lag in the Softr user group status changing to paid?
