We use table blocks quite a lot and the users like them, probably because they look a bit like spreadsheets 
.
But because the screen estate is quite limited, every table is a compromise to decide which columns are displayed.
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if the user could select which fields to include on the table, perhaps using an ‘add column’ type feature - that way they could build the view they want and then export that to PDF/XLSX/CSV on the fly.
