Updates to Softr pricing

We’ve launched a new version of Softr pricing for new users.

Don’t worry, nothing’s changing for your current plan as an existing customer – just want to address this right off the bat :blush:.

Why are we making pricing updates?

We made our last pricing change at the beginning of 2023. Since then, we’ve launched over 200+ features — 10+ new data sources, actions, conditional form, advanced logic, revamped blocks, and many other improvements — to help businesses of all sizes build mission-critical apps without code.

Based on our learnings about the needs of customers in each plan, and where our pricing caused confusion, we’ve tweaked our pricing to:

  • Better align each plan’s value with its intended use cases,
  • Offer more flexible ways for customers to scale their apps.

What’s new?

First off, all prices stay the same — no increases. The main changes are around value metrics. To name a few:

  • Merged “internal users” and “external users” to simply Users (counted at workspace level) with adjusted limits.
  • Professional customers can have extra users beyond the included allowance at $1/extra users (billed in packs of 10).
  • Some adjustments to feature packaging and additional usage metrics.

Wasn’t the old Pro plan for 5000 external users per app? Now its per workspace? Or am I remembering this wrong?

And if I upgrade to the business plan a year from now, how many (external) users will I have? This is important to me sorry!

Yes, the Legacy Professional supported 5000 external users per app. With the new pricing The Professional plan allows having 100 app users per workspace, not app. That’s right.

You mean if you upgrade to Legacy Business Yearly plan? If yes, you will have 10000 external users per app. You can upgrade until November 30.

Hey @Suzie, thanks for this. Just one more question to clarify: we have until 30th Nov to upgrade from free to legacy paid plan; but once on a legacy paid plan, do we stay on legacy plans in the future?

For instance, if on legacy basic before 30th Nov, we can still upgrade to legacy pro sometimes in 2025, allowing 5000 external users per app then?

Hey @LeFred, both points are correct:

  • you can upgrade to a legacy plan till Nov 30th, and once you do that, you will stay on legacy in the future (unless you cancel your subscription)
  • you can still upgrade between legacy plans in the years to come, if you hop on a legacy plan before Nov 30th.
