I’ve been utilizing the vibe coding blocks a lot more recently. One thing that I run into is that I’ll have the same block on multiple pages and making changes requires me to copy and paste into every place where that block exists. It would be nice to have almost linked blocks where a change to one would make a change to all. Obviously this would not be a default option, but a good QOL update. At least for me!
100% agree! This gets my vote. I’ve been thinking the exact same thing while playing with the AI block or any of the other blocks that are AI enabled.
Coming from Webflow, I’m used to crafting reusable components. Having this type of functionality in Softr would be a game changer. It would really speed things up.
Here’s a current example from a project I’m working on. It’s a membership app so it has both public facing (website) and private (authenticated) pages. There are over 60 pages, many of which need similar blocks such as call-to-actions. I’ve been having to create a block on one page and then copy it to every other page. The problem grows even bigger if you want to make any style changes to the block. That means manually updating the block on every page or updating one block and copying it to every page again and deleting the old block. This is one of Softr’s bigger short comings from a design perspective.
I really hope there is a solution to this soon.
