It’s great to see the addition of the ‘Download File’ action.
I’m just wondering whether there is any way to track this activity into Airtable? Ideally tracking the Airtable record associated with it and the logged in user ID.
Hi there! Were you able to find a solution for this? I am trying to do something similar. My goal is to track what files are users downloading - it doesn;t need to be in airtable…
Unfortunately not, my workaround was to allow a download link on the details page of designs (in my case) that have been favourited by the user (so a different detail page basically). I can at least then track that the user has favourited a design in this case.
Prior to the release of the “Download a file” action, I setup Make.com flows to download a file via a webhook call, and put this webhook as the external url in Softr buttons. I suppose you could do something similar, and add a counter to the flow, e.g. update whatever field in Airtable with a +1 every time the flow is run?
