SmartSuite Lookup Fields in Filters

It would be very useful if we could allow ‘sync with source’ for lookup fields in SmartSuite. Currently only works for single select, multi select and linked record fields.

Good one, isn’t this working with linked field though ?

Yes this works great for linked record fields but in a lot of my data tables I have 1 linked record with multiple associated lookup fields. For example we have a table for ‘Projects’ and we link to an ‘Asset’ in a different table and then have lookups that bring through the ‘Asset Owner’ and ‘Asset Type’ that are fields within that table. Being able to use these additional fields in filters would be great.

Noted we will check internally to see what’s possible here

Hi @artur any update on this? Or is it something that will be available with Softr Databases? It would be great if we could use the ‘Lookup’ fields from the Sofr Database in filters. At the moment it is the same as SmartSuite data and we can only use filters with ‘related records’ not ‘lookups’
I’m trying to build a project cost tracker and have multiple tables with linked/related records and several lookups related to them but can’t use them as filters

@sarah_h both should be working fine if not then we have a bug. Can you pls share some more details via live chat so we can troubleshoot and fix ?

Thanks @artur I’ve send the team a message on chat just now with some more details but they advised this is expected behaviour and we can’t use autosyncing for lookup fields in filters. This unfortunately makes it not very useful for us :frowning:

@sarah_h I thought this is more about just using those fields in the filters… now that I know the whole scope seems we need to add possibility to auto-sync values to dropdowns first…

Do you think this will be possible to get working any time soon? Don’t want to waste time building anymore of the app out if it won’t work.
