Run Custom Workflow item action not available for a list block with an Airtable data source

Hi community.

I rolled up my sleeves excitedly to finally do my first Run Custom Workflow integration from Actions item button of a list block connected to an Airtable data source… only to nose-dive into this not being available.

I was really hoping to finally start using the proper wait events for backend workflows to complete before the app’s screen refresh, but I guess not…

Is this feature coming for Airtable or does one always need to be on a Softr db data source?

Thanks!

Team Softr, is there any update on making “Run Custom Workflow” action available on list blocks configured for Airtable data sources? Thx

Hi @bbelo unfortunately this one is packaged in with our updated airtable datasource connection, which is currently being migrated over. Given that, it should become available within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks JJ. Really, looking forward to this. Being able to click a button and have the app page WAIT to reload until the backend 3rd party process completes and makes all data updates has been a years-long dream.

It’s been a few weeks and I am just checking on the status of this.

I do see some other threads with rumblings about strange behaviors with apps built on Airtable. I am wondering if this is all related and team Softr is running a bit behind with the Airtable connection changes. If so, if there is a new ETA on this one, that would be great to hear.

Thank you

Hi @bbelo

Our updated Airtable integration has been nearly complete, and now we’re finding some edge cases and improvements to make and are working on those.

We’re also working on unlocking this workflow trigger for Airtable, which I expect to come in the next week or two.

Thanks, JJ. Go Softr! And Go Bills!
