Rearrange Comment Block Items

I am modifying the comment block to work as a messaging system. Functionally it’s working great, but I’m looking for some advice on the best way to rearrange the comment block for better viewing. I’d like to…

  1. Switch the two section below.
  2. Reverse the order of the comments, so that the most recent appear at the bottom.

Is this feasible? Where would be the best place to learn how to make this happen?

has anyone figured out how to do this? i.e. reverse order of message editor and messages, such that the message editor is below the messages

I’ve had a few goes at this, but nothing very elegant. I’m back to using the default until there’s a significant update.

i got as far as rearranging the comment order using custom code (found here in forums), but actually counter productive (more confusing to user) if can’t also switch the order of the editor & comment block. would love to have this feature!
