Organize Softr Workflows with Folders and/or Tagging

I’m starting use Softr Workflows more and more. I can see certain types of projects requiring dozens of workflows. The problem is there is no easy way to navigate them when you want to manage them. It would great if we could organize Workflows into user defined Folders or tag them, with the ability to search and filter tags.

Hey @TobyMacLeod

Thanks a lot for sharing this, We’ve logged this as a feature request and shared your feedback with the product team. Improving workflow organization (folders, tags, filtering, etc.) is something we know would bring a lot of value, especially for more complex apps with many automations.

For now, A good workaround could be:

  • Using clear and consistent naming conventions (e.g. prefixes like User –, Billing –, Notifications –)

  • Adding brief descriptions in the workflow itself to explain its purpose.

Best regards,

Thanks @Andranik . Happy to hear the feature request has been shared with the product team. I’ll continue to use naming conventions for the time being.

I think the Pages section also needs foldering/grouping.

ok i can see that managing workflows could be a bit tricky, i would also love it if there was a way to filter the workflows based on which app they are attached too, please

This is live - we just shipped a revamp of pages management in the Studio:

Folders
Group related pages together: client portal in one folder, admin in another.

Nested pages, unlimited depth
Nest pages under folders or under other pages. Build a hierarchy that mirrors your app.

Drag and drop
Drag a page onto a folder to nest it, drag whole subtrees around, or use the searchable “Move to” picker.

Also:

  • “Add and nest page” creates a page directly inside a folder

  • Collapse/expand any branch, with a count badge on collapsed folders

  • Draft indicators and a visibility popover on each page row

  • Refreshed look for the pages panel

Note: folders and nesting only organize the Studio sidebar. Page URLs and published navigation don’t change, so reorganize freely without breaking links.
