Hi
Yesterday I was super excited, I set up a “done” button for a task list and when the button was clicked, the button disappeared and the person would see it “done”. Jump on today to keep working on my app and now the button wont disappear. I didn’t change anything. I got this idea from the Employee onboarding template where I saw it work, went into that template this morning and the button no longer disappears in the template either? Is something going on that I’m not seeing, why is this not working, I can’t find answers online and I was way too excited about this. I do have the conditional view set to not show the button with TRUE (it’s boolean) and I’m lost lol…someone pretty please help me
Hi there,
To build this functionality, you will need to use visibility rules. On the action button, go into visibility, and make it so the button is hiding when the records status is “done”.
That way, when the record is updated, the button will become invisible!
Hi, ok I’m clearly missing something lol. Bare with me. I have the button mapped to a boolean, true/false, i set up the conditional filter on the source page to show “completed is false” so true would disappear. I don’t see a visibility option “on the action button”…i’m confused LOL…this was working fine yesterday I’ve clearly clicked something somehow…I dont see an option to make it so the button is hiding…you’re gonna need to explain it like I’m 2…I appreciate you LMO
It has to be an item button. Then click on the visibility settings there, then configure the conditions using the “one specific records” filtering.
omg LOL I knew it would be something stupid I wasn’t seeing. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! I appreciate you!
