It would be great if Softr allowed to show On/Off toggles for checkbox/boolean datatype fields, instead of regular checkboxes. Checkboxes are becoming old-fashioned and most modern web designs use toggles.
If Softr continues its strategy of allowing to build both functional and beautiful apps, toggles are a must.
How I wish Softr took notice on this… Just another input type, very similar to a checkbox. One would think this is straightforward and an easy “win” for the modern UX.
Softr itself uses toggles in its own app interface a lot. Notice the little irony in the screenshot above - a little toggle at the top called “Hidden input”? But for some reason convincing them this would be an important UX component in its users’ web apps has been a struggle…
Softr proves once again they listen to customer feedback and take care of not just the big releases but small, minor improvements to the existing functionality.
