Notion Integration Timing Out For Complex/Large Databases

Hi All,

I’m having trouble with the Notion integration. I have a simple marketplace style app, connected to about 14 databases in Notion. One of those databases has many fields and a few thousand entries. When I try to choose that table as a data source in Softr I keep getting errors like “Something Weird Happened, please contact customer support”.

I have tried reading the contents of this database directly myself via the Notion API, and I am also getting a 504 Gateway timeout when accessing it. However, when I reduce the page_count on the request so I am fetching less data, the request goes through.

My question is, can the Softr Dev team adjust the Notion integration so that for large/complex databases like mine the page_count per request is reduced? Or if there is some other workaround that would be greatly appreciated.

I have brought this issue up with support already- it would be great to have this fixed as naturally I’m sure others will have complex databases and may experience the same issue.

Thanks!

I am having this problem too. Not a developer myself, my team suggests the issue is on the Softr side as I only have a few hundred items and it still fails to load/drops out/fails.
