Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Notion as a data source in private beta.
With this integration, you’ll be able to connect Notiondatabases directly to your Softr apps, unlocking powerful new ways to build client portals, internal tools, and more.
Key benefits:
Seamlessly sync data between Notion and Softr to build custom apps
Control exactly what your users can view or edit from a Notion database
Let users submit data directly to Notion through Softr (using an app interface or Conditional Forms)
Do you expect that some day there will be more Softr users using Notion as a data source? Or at this pace of growth looks like airtable will remain as the main source?
As data sources i mainly use google sheets, airtable and notion, but very often i’m not sure about where to store what / which one to use for each case.
Google Sheets is great for automation with Google Apps Script (UI often requires workarounds),
Airtable is good for relational data and collaboration (UI requires workarounds),
Notion offers the best UI & search capabilities for both desktop and mobile (but requires external tools for automation).
Softr is a necessary piece for allowing others to read or edit data, but i feel it works well on all sources.
