No form field for avatar?

I’ve been googling this and everything that comes up says it should be there…

On the Account Settings page there is no Default field for “Avatar image” and it’s not in the additional fields either. My defaults are only “Full Name” and “Email”. I added a new user profile block to the page (and a different page) just to see, but no dice.

Any ideas? Or am I missing something…

Maybe worth a new thread, but I don’t want to clutter the board - I’m dealing with the avatar issue because I’m utilizing a comments block. However, the default for the comments block is WYSIWYG and it isn’t allowing spaces between words/ characters in preview mode. I can click to “markdown” and spaces work, but that’s an awkward extra step and I’m assuming WYSIWYG isn’t designed to eliminate spaces!

I haven’t published this to see if it works ok in the real app because I’ve made quite a few changes I don’t want displayed yet. Could preview itself be the issue?

Bump because I still need help

Hi @Jamz,

Do I understand correctly that you want app users to see their avatar in the header or be able to edit or update it from the User Profile block? If so, the avatar field comes from the table connected to the users section. Please navigate to the User section > Edit connection and select the field containing the avatars from there. Please check the screenshot below for reference.

Ok! I see this hadn’t been accessed on my end, so I’ve done what I can see from the attachment. However, I’m still not seeing “Avatar” as a default form field on the User Profile Block as shown in this article:

Can you please provide a screenshot from your end so that I can understand how the user profile block looks on your side?

It looks like the avatar (profile image) itself is working now with that change, even though the default form field “avatar” still isn’t visible or accessible (I hadn’t realized it was working at first since I was looking for that particular form field.)

Visually things are looking good!

However, I’m still having trouble with the WYSIWYG text with no spaces — this is definitely more of a problem than the avatar/profile image since it hinders proper typing within the comment block…
