Monday.com as a data source (Public Beta)

We’re happy to share that you can now build client portals and internal tools powered by your monday.com data!

This integration allows you to:

  • give your clients real-time project visibility (without having to give them guest access to monday.com
  • collect information faster with conditional forms
  • create user-friendly dashboards without running into monday.com board limits

What’s in monday.com (beta):

  • support for boards, items, and sub-items
  • support for most of the Softr’s dynamic blocks
  • read & write actions: create, read, update, one-click update, delete
  • syncing app users with a list of users stored in monday.com
  • working with associated boards using connected boards and Softr’s conditional filters

Using monday.com and Softr templates

With this beta launch, we don’t offer Softr templates (yet). As a workaround, you can use Softr templates by copying the monday.com data you want to use to a free Airtable account or Google Sheets. Then you can remap app blocks to be connected with monday.com

The monday.com integration (beta) is available on all plans, including Free (note: this is subject to upon full release). Try it today, and see how much more you can do with your monday.com data! Learn more here.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Love to see it!

Hi, Im currently using the Monday Beta integration, will there be an integration to the update field in Monday, so the comment block can send the comments to mondays update field and the other way?

Hi @Evensu, we have this on our shortlist to be added, but we don’t have a concrete timeline at this point. Could you share more about your use case how do you imagine using it? Is it a critical feature for the app you’re building?

Hi @gedastava, thats great, yes i can share some of what my app is going to use it for.

Im designing an app that my company will use on construction site, we will have an individual app for each project we have. The engineering team works in a project structure in Monday and we use the app to report status on cables and progress in the field.

The comment block is kinda essential for our use, if we have an task we need to tag someone in and have a conversation on, we want that to come over to Monday also. The next thing we also need is notifications, so when someone is tagging a person or an conversation we are apart of is being updated we want the person to be notified.

This will be an essential tool for my company to have more live data from the construction site.

Thanks for sharing the details. Do I understand it right that you would like your users to comment and reply from the softer app as a Monday.com tool and for these to be in sync?

Regarding the notifications, are you thinking about email notifications for the updates in the app or mobile push ones?

Thanks!

Yes thats correct, so i can have an conversation from app to monday seamlessly.

Im thinking push notifications.
