Licensing question amending Airtable record

I have a Softr application using Airtable as the data source. I created a portal login and then a page with a grid view of an Airtable table with edit buttons for each row.
When I click on the edit button I get a modal popup with the fields I want to edit.
I do the edit, click confirm, and it updates the grid view as expected.

Today I created a new user for the portal, one that Airtable doesn’t know about (the portal user credentials being stored by Softr) and tested again and it still works.

So this suggests I can get Softr users to edit Airtable data without having Airtable Collaborator accounts. Is that correct?

This is exactly how it works. You don’t need to grow your bill on airtable to allow softr users to edit your records.
