If an inbox item is selected with fewer images in an Image Gallery field than a previous item, the images do not appear in desktop mode. Subsequent item’s image selections are stuck on the previous item’s image gallery position, so when an item’s image gallery is scrolled through then another item is selected with fewer images in the gallery, no images appear in the new item’s image gallery if it does not have at least as many images as the previous item’s gallery. @artur, Please fix this longstanding problem with Inbox Blocks that use an Image Gallery on a desktop.
Hi Ben,
I’ve seen this issue before with Softr’s Inbox Blocks. It happens because the image gallery component doesn’t dynamically reset when a new item has fewer images than the previous selection. A workaround I’ve used is to force a refresh of the gallery component or add a small “default empty image” placeholder so the layout doesn’t break when switching items.
Would love to hear if anyone else has found a more elegant solution.
Thanks. Any solutions out there that don’t have an impact on performance? You would think that native features would simply work, out-of-the-box, with each other.
