How to manage and display images in softr with Airtable

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for advice on how you manage photos/images in my Softr apps, especially when working with Airtable as the backend. Here’s my current setup:

  • I use Airtable to store project-related documents and photos.
  • Each airtable record contains one or more images
  • My goal is to let customers view all photos inside Softr, ideally in a gallery view that looks clean and intuitive and to give them the action to download the images once or as bulk.

The issue we’re facing

Right now, as you can see in the attached screenshot, Softr is only showing one record per card, even when multiple images are attached in Airtable.
:point_right: This means that only the first image appears in each card, rather than displaying all images linked to the housing unit in a proper gallery view.

Appreciate any insights or examples from your own experience!

Thanks so much!

I understand the experience you are after.

There is a softr field type called ‘Image gallery’ but I believe it can not be use as image cover for your list cards but only in the rest of the card content.

@acjnas the image gallery is a field type on a list details block, but as you mentioed, it’s not what i am looking for. :frowning:

You might need to have records then open a side panel with details where you show other images ? Or you could also try list view which I believe offers the gallery field too
