Hi!
I launched my first Softr -website on this week. I haven’t figured out all the features on Softr yet and I’m just wondering that what is best way to launch “Blog” -page on my website?
Is there any way to create blog using Softr app?
Hi!

This was posted recently. I’m not a huge fan of how they do it and prefer (for now) to use an Airtable in my base called “Blog”. Then use a list block + details block to display the content.
I hope this helps!
My personal take on this has changed quite significantly over the past 12 months. I now think the best way to structure a site for 80% of people is to use subdomains such as podcast.site.com and blog.site.com etc
That’s because technology is developing so fast, and newer solutions are so much more innovative in many cases, that it’s often better to use a specialised platform for each section of your website. This makes it much easier to swap out old technology as things change, rather than burning an entire site to the ground and starting again.
So in my case, I use my podcast host’s dedicated site. I also use Substack as a joint Blog and Newsletter platform. Now with this, I simply use their domain structure, not my own subdomain. So it’s mysite.substack.com
There is no 100% “right” way for everyone of course. However, for the majority of people who have a simple website / email list / social media or newsletter setup, I think this is a good way to go. It makes staying up to date much easier as technology progresses.
I was just looking at this too - I am also using an airtable base for my blogs.
I’m working on this myself. Softr’s documentation on how to create a blog is here.
Hey all,
You can also check this workaround
Thanks,
This is a very poor workaround, especially if using Airtable as backend which takes forever to load on Softr. It’s a shame there is no proper blog feature from Softr after YEARS. Things are going the Adalo way.
Hey @oncosearch,
Did you check this workaround too?
For every Softr builder doing something externally focused blogs are paramount, especially since page speed and seo poor due to Softr’s focus on internal tooling. But even for those, blogs are very important building blocks.
Really wonder why Softr not just chooses to build a good integration with a leading blog CMS like Ghost tbh.
Is this something that’s being considered?
