Hey everyone,
Earlier today Airtable had about a half-hour outage where some bases were unavailable — unfortunately, one of those was the base powering my live Softr project. During that time, the site ended up looking broken since none of the data could be displayed.
I’m curious how others in the community (or the Softr team) handle this kind of situation:
-
Do you set up a “maintenance mode” screen that you can toggle on quickly?
-
If so, how do you handle things multiple live pages for site visitors (I’ve got ~20 visitor-facing pages, and manually unpublishing all of them doesn’t feel like a smooth move - could be done but kinda lame)?
-
Is there a one-toggle maintenance mode experience in Softr already, or something similar people have hacked together?
Would love to hear how you all prepare for or manage these moments when Airtable or API connections go down, so users don’t just see a broken site.
Thanks in advance!
