Has Airtable come out in support of Softr?

I was just curious if Airtable has come out in support in any official capacity of services like Softr. It would seem like these services could potentially lead to Airtable getting less licenses than if someone were to just use Airtable.

My team currently uses just Airtable and their interfaces but have been looking at utilizing Softr to create some more advanced applications than what we can make in Airtable alone. Going down this route I’ve noticed that using Softr could potentially allow us to trim down our Airtable licensing significantly as the pricing for users is much better in Softr.

Hi @Nich,

That is indeed one of the biggest advantages of Softr: app users in Softr do not need to be Airtable users; they are just records in a table designated to be a user table. So even by using the free or lowest Airtable plan, you can allow multiple Softr users to access your Airtable data. You will just need to apply conditional filters on the blocks to make sure that each user has access to only the data they are supposed to see.

Airtable still has a monthly API call limit, which I think is their approach to ensuring that people using Airtable in combination with products like Softr still need the paid versions of their products. Each dynamic block in Softr essentially relies on those API calls. So if you plan on having multiple app users who will frequently access the data from Airtable, you would at least need the Team plan of Airtable.
