Initially reported this to chat support on Dec 12th, 2025, well over a month ago. Still a problem after following support’s suggestion to add semicolons to formula output text to separate tags. It worked on a Grid block, but I’m finding random tag separations across other blocks now. Some do, some don’t, others still separate tags with commas. @artur, what the heck is going on?

@artur. We have been going round and around with support to fix this problem since early December. Please re-deploy the way Softr handles tags for Airtable formula fields.
There was no issue with legacy Softr blocks separating text from Airtable formula fields into separate tags. But with the “New” Softr, released last year, this doesn’t occur reliably anymore with the new list or grid blocks, regardless if you use commas or semicolons to separate the output in the Airtable formula fields.
This problem was never fixed. Support tells me it matters whether the formula field that is used for tags gets its data from other fields with different field types. If it does, with the newer blocks, then that is on Softr’s end to deploy them so they just work, regardless, like legacy blocks did. The Airtable field in question, never changed in the data source. The only thing that changed is the way Softr handles this field type for tags.
Following up internally… we can’t go back so we need to see what’s possible with new Airtable integration.
Whenever you’re ready. Its been like this since we migrated legacy apps last year. Like others have said, it’s hard to be excited about new releases, when existing features we rely on go unsupported.

Can you share the format in your datasource (gsheet) and the block you are having issues with ? I would like to replicate for myself
@artur, the tags are not separating in Horizontal Card and List blocks connected to Airtable. Some separate while others do not. The Softr tags are pulling from the same AT Formula field. Per Softr support, I changed the output recently from commas to semicolons to separate the content to no effect.
For airtable many of such features have been non intentional given Airtable has proper types… we did have some of those for google sheets and as a side effect they worked for Airtable too in the past… now we need to see what it means for us to support it…
Tags always used to work (separate using commas) properly with Airtable on legacy blocks, even before you deployed the Google Sheets connection. I’ve been around long enough to remember

Regardless of the datasource, I don’t think builders (customers) should expect less support overtime. As a long term paying business user, you would hope for more support for your datasource, right?
@artur, it appears that tags separate when the Airtable ‘View’ filter is removed from the block source setting. For some reason you don’t support tag separation anymore when the Airtable source-view filter is still enabled.
