Full Name on new Sign Up form

Hello all,

I’ve just migrated my app to the new version. It was a smoother experience than I was expecting and most of the changes are certainly big improvements (especially in terms of the header and footer), so well done to the team!

There are one or two niggles I’ve come up against which I can live with for the time being (and would be better as separate posts). However, I’ve noticed the new Sign Up format no longer requires the user’s name, just their email.

Is there a way around this? As I’ll really miss this aspect and will have to rejig my automations and come up with a hacky solution to dovetail it back in, which isn’t preferable of course.

I checked the Help Docs for the Sign Up page, but it appears to be outdated at present, showing the legacy format.

Any suggestions or pointers would be vastly appreciated

Hello @SdogEinnarg,

Yes, will you please check whether you have disabled the Name field? If it’s disabled you will not see the Name field after adding the email.

By the way Hidden fields for signup have been released

Hi Suzie,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have just been reading a feature request about this, so I see it’s hopefully on the horizon of being re-implemented! :crossed_fingers:

I don’t think I have disabled the Name field? However, I can’t find that toggle you’ve screenshot… where would I find that?

Please check Signup settings.

Tap on Email password, One time Code > Set Password > you will see the toggle for the Name fields.

If this is enabled, then when setting up the password you will see the Name field available as well.

Aha ha! Fantastic, thank you very much! This is a relief!

I had both sign in options enabled - I take it this route negates inputting a name and password?
