I have users who want to filter data in Softr (filtering line items). It looks like this filtering is done in the front-end. Ideally, I want this filtering to adjust a view in Airtable so I can use this filtering with a third-party software.
Hey, just to clarify—do you mean that when an app user applies a filter on the list block (for example, one connected to an Airtable table), you want that filter to also be reflected in the Airtable table view?
I was looking for this as well, because a lot of the reporting tools that generate PDFs etc, act upon the Airtable view. So if you could generate or modify the Airtable view from Softr, then you could report on the filtered view that the user was seeing.
At the moment I’m playing with using a form containing the filtering fields and then linking the Submit button to Make.com and generating the filtered report that way, but it feels like I’m having to work around 3 sides of a square to achieve something that Softr should do fo me.
I don’t think Airtable has opened up access for third party apps to all its features. So it isn’t that Softr hasn’t enabled the feature you would like to have, I believe it’s because it’s impossible.
