Feature Requests from an Experienced User

Hi Softr Community,

First of all, I want to say that I’m a big fan of Softr — it’s an amazing product that’s been a real game changer for building apps without code. Thank you for all the hard work you’re doing!

That said, I have a few suggestions for improvement. These are mostly small tweaks, but I believe they would have a big impact on usability and functionality. I’ve listed them below in order of priority:

  1. Login and Register Blocks: Bring Back Property Editing
In the previous design, it was possible to add and edit properties directly in the login/register blocks. This was super useful and is currently missing in the new version. It would be great to have that back!
  2. Inline Editing for Table Blocks (Airtable Source)
Being able to edit data inline in table blocks would greatly improve UX, especially for apps where users need to manage content frequently.
  3. Inline Editing in Item Details Block (Airtable Source)
Similarly, it would be a huge plus to allow inline editing within the Item Details block. This would streamline the user experience a lot.
  4. Graph Improvements (Must-Have)
Currently, graphs often don’t load when conditional fields are involved. Fixing this would be a big help. Also, filtering data directly from the graphs would be a really helpful “nice-to-have” feature.
  5. Better-Looking Kanban Board
The current Kanban board is functional, but visually it feels a bit outdated. A more modern, polished design would make a big difference.
  6. More Stylish Static Blocks
Static blocks (like text/image blocks) don’t quite match the sleekness of the new Softr design system. A visual update here would help with overall consistency.
  7. Email Notifications for New Comments
It would be helpful if users could receive email notifications when new comments are added via the comment block.
  8. Change the layout of the PWA
It would be great if we can change layout of the PWA, it blocks a lot of sights in the new blocks. Additionally, it would be great to have a link to download it instead of a floating button.
  9. User-to-User Chat Functionality
Finally, it would be amazing if users within an app could chat directly with each other — whether for support, collaboration, or community interaction.

Thanks again for building such a fantastic platform. I hope these suggestions are helpful and I’d love to hear when any of them are on the roadmap!

Yeah this is something I’m having significant issues with. To not be able to filter data by date range at a click in app is a massive downside (especially considering charts are a feature of the higher paying price plans).
