I miss the duration type in Softr Databases like in Airtable and it would be great, when this is a coming data type in the future.
@Jjenglert can you maybe tell me if something like this is planned? I would need this and also my airtable migrations would just work if a duration field will be there like 01:35 for example.
Thanks for this. I’ll share with team and see if it’s on our roadmap.
Hey @Jjenglert do you think, this will be added to SDB in early future? Asking, because it’s needed for my migration and for the right kind of calculating between duration and times not decimal calculating.
For me this would be very needed and just waiting for this to switch to SDB in that App + Something like workflows (AirTable Automations). ![]()
Yes, we are working on it. Hopefully just a couple of weeks but we have a lot going on and can’t commit to a deadline yet.
@Jjenglert thank you!
@Jjenglert do you maybe know when this is ready for release? ![]()
Let me check in. Things are quite busy with our workflows release coming up next week.
@Jjenglert there’s no problem for me if it takes longer time, I just want to have a range, what I can tell to my client. Because they really need realtime refresh which is possible in SoftrDB but because of time tracking tables with duration as a field type we’re have to wait with the migration process. We just wanna calculate, when we can do it. Also because we have to rebuild or Airtable automations in Softr Workflows. Thank you! ![]()
Sorry, my friend. We just don’t have an exact timeline. We know that this is something that we want to do, but we don’t have a timeline on it yet.
@Jjenglert okay no worries. but can you tell me in which format a duration worth will be migrated from Airtable to Softr DB? As a number in minutes?
let me ask!
We won’t know until we start working on it. But, when I do know, I’ll let you know.
I just saw this come through engineering ![]()
Should go live in the next week or two, I think. Keep your eyes open for it!
Nice!
This feature is now LIVE! ![]()
Thanks for your nudge on making this happen @marc-encawa
Thank you JJ and team! Will an airtable import with duration field now also imported as an duration field like formulars and so on?
Not sure yet. Can you try and let us know =)
