Domain change on Softr

I’m looking to rebrand soon and will have to change the domain name.

Does anyone have tips on the process of changing the domain and then forwarding all users on the old domain to the new one?

Should I just change the Domain in Softr and then create a new Softr page for the old domain with a redirect?

Are there any best practices or typical mistake to avoid?

A smooth transition is really important for us because we get quite a bit of traffic now.

Hi Tim,

To redirect your old domain to the new one just create a redirect record in your domain administrator, something that looks like this:

I ended up copying the entire app and then created a redirect from the old to the new domain. :slight_smile:

It worked fine except for the passwords. My users had to set up a new password.
