I’m trying to fetch “categories” for my tool directory from google sheets but its not syncing and I’m not able to turn on “sync with source” either. So does this option work with Google sheets or not?

Yes, auto-syncing option is not available for Google Sheet Datasource. You should click on the input and add the values manually.
Just came across this issue myself too. Glad it was already answered, but too bad sync with resource is not available for google sheets. Hopefully it will be soon.
