Today, I learned from our users that Softr disconnected our Airtable database, thus making the entire website unusable. When trying to fix this, I had to reconnect every page on the site to airtable and found several fields had been changed. This isn’t easy when you have over 40-50 pages.
Why did I never receive a warning or a notification that the database connection disconnected?
Getting the same issues across all apps. Awaiting a reply from Softr team as no apps are working correctly now. No issues with Airtable sync after I manually updated each (with no warning or notification from Softr that my integration was expiring)
Softr did not just disconnect due to the way Airtable implemented their OAuth there is a chance OAuth token becoming invalid if the refresh of the token for some reason fails… For the same reason we and many other platforms nowdays recomend using Personal Access Token (PAT) instead of Oauth
Regarding disconnect when this happens the only thing you need to do is just re-auth your connection and you don’t need to go block by block… Would also suggest for such urgent cases writing us in live support chat to get the needed help faster.
Thank you Artur - I contacted Support to assist me.
finally received a notification from Airtable late last night.
" The Softr third-party integration’s access to your Airtable account has been automatically revoked by Airtable. This could be due to reasons such as a violation of the OAuth protocol or a misconfiguration of the third-party integration.
To continue using Softr you may re-authorize it. If you would like to contact the developer about this issue you may contact them at [support@softr.io].
You can manage your third-party integrations from your account’s integrations panel."
