Close the Form” action after form submission

Hello Softr Team,

We would like to request an enhancement to the form actions configuration.

Currently, when configuring the actions that a form should perform after being saved/submitted, the available options are limited. We would like to suggest adding a new action option called “Close the form”.

This action should:

  • Close the form after it is successfully saved, and

  • Automatically redirect the user back to the previous page they were on before opening the form.

This behavior would significantly improve the user experience, especially in cases where forms are opened from buttons, modals, or embedded views, avoiding the need for manual navigation after submission.

Hi there

If you are on Page A, and have a button there that opens the form when clicked, and you want to return to Page A once the form is submitted, you simply need to configure the Ending, selecting the page that needs to be opened after the form submission.
