Build a customer support app

I’m struggling with something… I’m building the customer support area of a website, so I think of 2 ways of building it:

  • 2 Airtable apps: one for the topic (opening ticket), and one for the rest of the conversation, all messages linked to the opening topic.

  • 1 Airtable app: opening ticket would be marked as topic, the rest linked through a text field.

So, the support page is easy showing a topic list or table. The difficult part is to show the full conversation (with attachments) when opening a new page.

Any ideas? Thank you so much in advance

When you say “apps” you mean tables?

yes sorry. How would you build it?

As a MVP I’m building it with 2 tables but cannot show attachments; but wouldn’t mind restarting to make a long term version

Another question. I was using “create item” buttons to add new support tickets, is there any way to know which user created each ticket?

Use a Hidden Field in the Add Record feature :slight_smile:
