It would be awesome if we could add a new block, then point it to an existing block to inherit all the settings. e.g. Source settings, Content settings, button settings, etc. Would save a lot of time in trying different blocks to see which works the best.

Thanks a lot for reaching out, why you not simply duplicate your block and then change the block type?
The blocks that are capable of being changed are the ones mentioned in the screenshot.

Yep that’s great for the few blocks it applies to, but 95% of our blocks don’t have a ‘change block type’ function.
