Love to see it :rocket:

@Jjenglert @gedastava This is a great step forward for Softr!

We’re starting to explore the containers vs the custom code columns we currently use and what we’re finding is there are container settings for top/bottom padding but there aren’t any settings for left/right padding so we end up with a lot of wasted space in the margins.

See attached example.

Thank you! Will share with team.

Absolutely love this development!! I echo the need for side padding editing.

Also, the cards on the grid list look much bigger when placed inside a container. It would be great to keep them nice and small so that more can fit into the space. At the moment, I can only get three in per row.

OMG I love you guys, thank you for this!

Just as a follow up to anyone else interested in the left/right padding issue…

I met with Artur and they are looking at fixing this so that all blocks line up with each other and the margin padding is removed.

Great idea! How do they look on mobile?

Will more static blocks also be working in these containers soon?
These would be great for creating menus on dashboards, but static blocks seem to not be supported.

Hello, can you please authorize more than one block by column please ? i stay on previous tabs solution with custom code because i can’t have more than one block

Thank you Very much

@Tim_ClimatEU @Phenix, could you share more about the specific blocks and layouts you want to achieve?

As we’re rebuilding blocks, we want to enable only the new ones. We are sure they will work well in containers, but we want to add more continuously.

@gedastava

Of course, here are some screenshots,

Currently we only have one block per column,
So if we want more block, we have to duplicate the container ?

But what if my block is hidden? Result → Empty space

With custom code tabs we can add more block and when the block is hidden, there is no empty space

Here the Screenshot:

This is an important need, I’m unable to move away from custom columns until a column can support more than one block.

This will be important when building a dashboard layout.

Also, the option to have a fixed height + overflow enabled for any list blocks inside a column container would be good.

Here is an example below, made with code (the news feed column is the interesting one)
