ASK AI - request to 'support context tagging'

Softr’s native Ask AI doesn’t support context tagging - you can’t pass a selected record into the chat input programmatically.

Example:

User is on a product, clicks Ask AI, and the product is automatically passed as context: “PRODUCT ×” pre-loaded in the chat input, then user just types “draft me an enquiry email”

@GuillaumeDuv Any chance this can be added into ASK AI? Dont want to have to go through every listing block to convert into a Vibe Code block…

I agree that it would be a nice feature to be able to tag variables like we allow to do on titles etc for blocks! Will share with the team :slight_smile:

I can confirm that we have enriched the context that Ask AI gets when there is a record detail that got opened on that page. It now knows about the record that got opened.
