The loading times on standard Softr blocks are becoming a real pain. I get too much complains from app users about it.
Recently I started using the Vibe Coding (AI) blocks, and they load noticeably faster. Because of that, I’ve been replacing many of my existing blocks with AI blocks just to improve performance.
But that raises a bigger question. If the only way to get proper speed is by using AI blocks, it makes me wonder whether I should move to something like Base44 instead, which is built around that approach from day one.
I actually prefer staying with Softr because I like having structured control over my apps rather than letting AI generate everything. But performance matters. If AI blocks are the only consistently fast option inside Softr, that changes the equation.
So my question to Softr leaders is:
Is there a plan to significantly improve the loading speed of the original non-AI blocks, and is that improvement coming really soon?
Right now the performance gap between standard blocks and AI blocks feels large enough that it’s pushing power users toward an architecture Softr wasn’t originally designed for.
Would appreciate clarity on where this is heading.
