A product announcement pop-up, akin to the one Softr itself uses in the platform to inform us of new product roll-outs, feature updates, etc…
Yes, I know what the contrarians are going to say - but there are other widget tools on the web that you can incorporate to do this. True, but most of them are expensive, especially the good ones. Having a native Softr block would include another important tool in the Softr platform toolset. Besides, Softr’s announcement block is so good looking. Particularly, I like its multi-step/muli-screen scroll, when many features are rolled up in bunches. It looks so “native” to the overall Softr experience. I figured Softr has already practically figured the code for doing this. Why not make it available to its users for THEIR Softr apps to use? It could be integratable with a data source, with the announcement content, tagging and timing controlled by a data source. Then, programmatic conditionals can be used to show it to users, different kind of messages to different users, or at different times, etc… Lots of contextual possibilities.
If data source and conditional showing is implemented, then this block can be used not just for product or marketing announcements, but for warning messages, alerts, etc… for things like subscription expirations, metered limits reaches, take-an-action alerts, etc…
Now I am thinking this block has a huge number of use cases, if it was based on a data source and had conditionals.
