Airtable API Limits will start to be enforced

FYI. Airtable have been sending out emails to all users on their FREE plan, informing them that they will block calls over their API limits on the Free Plan starting from December 2nd.

It specifically says, “If you use any integration service (e.g., Zapier, Softr, Make, etc.), these integrations use our API and their actions count towards our API limit.

The good news is that you can now track API usage in the workspace settings. Free Plan only allows 1000 calls per month. I have both a Teams plan and a Free Plan, so I’ll be checking my call volumes closely I’ve the next month.

My site is over the API limits of my free AirTable account. Are there any AirTable alternatives which could be used to avoid upgrading the AirTable subscription and which can integrate to Softr?

@podinfo the closest functionality wise is SmartSuite

Never tried SmartSuite but definitively necessary given the new limits by Airtable.

My advice, from long experience with free platforms: every platform will hunt you down to turn you into a paying customer. Run if you like, but you can’t hide.

Becoming a paying customer, even at the $1 per month level, can make a significant difference—especially with companies that may delete your data if you don’t log in within certain timeframes.
