Dynamic forms has an address field which populates an address using the Google Maps integration. It would be great if this functionality was available when creating and editing records.
HI @Tools, thanks for the reply. As far as I’m aware the Address field is only available in dynamic forms not in native Create and Update record forms.
Hi, new to Softr so please excuse me if this is a crazy workaround idea…
Is there a way to map the address field from a dynamic form block on the same page to an Add or Edit button action field so that the full address that’s returned by Google Maps API on the form can then be mapped via that to an Address text field in the database? I’m playing around with a new form in the Client Portal template as I learn with JJ’s course but haven’t been able to figure it out so far.
Hi @Johnny I’m not aware of any way to do this. I’m sure it could be done with custom code, but that defeats the simplicity of Softr. Softr needs to align fields across the platform. The address field needs to be made available in Add/Update forms and the DB.
Any update on aligning Address Auto-Complete functionality across the Softr ecosystem? There is an address auto-complete field in forms, but no address field for Softr DB or App Records. Having this type of functionality aligned throughout Softr would greatly streamline workflows when working with Address information.
@TobyMacLeod for a full transparency not planned yet. But will add into our backlog
@artur Thanks for the transparency. Greatly appreciated.
