Reusable blocks

Hello Softr & the Community.

It would be useful if Softr offered a way to define/configure a block at the app level, not any individual page level and then have multiple pages “inherit” the block.

This would be particularly useful for dynamic blocks retrieving data from the data source that needs to show on multiple app pages, such as user account’s status, or some other app wide status, state or broadcast message tracked at the data source.

Then, if change something in the block’s configuration or styling, it gets reflected on all pages using the block.

Thanks

To complement your suggestion, currently you have headers and footers that are showing the same across pages. I agree that it would be awesome if you could select where a block is visible ( at multiple pages).

examples:

  • Balance counter for transactions in menu bar
  • Notification bar for updates, promotions etc..
  • Count down clock.
