I am creating a landing page to promote products. If a user is interested in a product, they should click on a button called “Request Information”. This button should redirect them to a WhatsApp number and open a chat with the person who will provide more information about the product.
Hi @mp_andrea02
To create a “Request Information” button on your Softr landing page that opens a WhatsApp chat with a specific number, you need to first obtain the WhatsApp chat link or embed code. You can generate a link in the format: https://wa.me/ (replace with your full phone number in international format, without any + or leading zeros).
In Softr, add a button to your page and set its action to open an external URL and paste the WhatsApp link as the button’s URL.
If you want the button to appear on all pages (e.g., as a floating or footer button), you can insert the WhatsApp embed code into a custom code section placed in the footer of your site.
Late to the party, but I’ve just tried this method, and it worked like a charm! Has anyone experimented with adding pre-filled messages to the link for more customized interactions with users? I’m curious about how that might impact engagement rates. If anyone else has tried it, I’d love to hear your experiences!
