New Sign Up Manual Invitation

Hi all

My understanding is that the new invitation via Softr send the user to the ‘Reset Password’ utility page.

So for these cases where users are manually set up in backend and sent an invitation from Softr, How do we;

  1. Add a tickbox to agree to platforms ‘T’s and C’s’ and ‘Policy’?

  2. know once they have signed up?

  3. Receive a copy of the invite email per user (to email I sent invite from)

And can someone clarify if

  1. ‘reset password’ (utility page) is the same as ‘After sign up’ page (in page rules)?

@Jjenglert if able to help clarify?

Thank you!

Hi @FPX

I encourage you to think creatively here :wink:

  1. Modify the invitation email to include acknowledgment by proceeding, they agree to terms that you link in the email.

  2. Add an automation to notify you once the users status is updated in your database via automations.

  3. Not possible.

  4. Adding a new user is different then having them reset password. Therefore, page rules for after signup still apply.

Also, you don’t need to use this method if it doesn’t work for your flow. Then, you’d just encourage them to visit your signup page to proceed.

Hey JJ

Thanks for your reply.

Re Item 1 Can we not just have a check box with hyperlink to the terms and conditions pages like the old way users were invited? This seems like a downgrade from previous UX (Signup Form) which is no longer available…

Re Item 4 Existing users with history data have their accounts set up manually, so they just need to
i) set a password after being invited
and
ii) to accept terms and conditions whenever they set or reset a password.

The invite sent from Softr automatically sends the users to the Rest Password page (which Softr displays as Sign In for these circumstances).

This reset password utility page needs to hold the terms and conditions checkbox with hyperlink OR there needs to be a seperate utility invite page for this.

Additionally there is no option to select the page which user lands on when clicking ‘send invite’ button (as per below)

Terms and conditions are not applicable for internal tooling, which is what we built the new authentication for.

It seems like your use case may be outside of this, and thus, the old auth might still be the best bet for you.

Hi JJ

These are required for Internal and External tooling.

So how do I change the Link in the Invitation (see below screenshot) so that when I click on the ‘Send/Resend Invite Button’ it will direct them to the custom sign up form (instead of the reset password form)?

Also there is no signup form anymore so can that be added back or will I have to add my own sign up form with a checkbox and add a hyperlink within the text field?

@Jjenglert
Hi JJ any ideas on how to solve this one so I can have my own invitation link within here?
