Modal behaviour

Well, not the full webpage.
Scrolling only works inside the modal itself. The rest of the page is can’t be scrolled again - which is a problem when the modal opens within a certain container block because a large part of the modal can easily be cut-off the screen.

@Jjenglert any update on this? The various ways in which modals behave right now, are kind of a big blocker for using modals in Softr in any serious way…

Hi @J_1 unfortunately there hasn’t been any progress that I’ve seen on my end in this regard. We have some UI updates planned for modals and page behavior for next quarter, but I’m not sure it’s going to address this specific concern. I’ll forward to my team again though to see if anything else can be done.

Thanks for checking and please forward. The current implementation - with modals only behaving relative to the block they are triggered from - really prohibits us of building a professional looking app with multiple blocks beneath each other :expressionless:

Hi @J_1 I heard back from the team and it’s a combination of things that is leading to this experience. Some of which might be a bug and some of which are limitations to our infrastructure (and that we have plans to address this quarter). We’ll continue to see if there are any quick fixes, but the real solution should come when we update the underling infrastructure in Q3.

Hugely needed here, would be a big help. Especially auto refresh within modals!

Forcing users to go to a preset page after sign up/log in seems counterintuitive and causes issues using the platform

thanks for the update @Jjenglert.
Good to know it’s high up the agenda and very much looking forward to the improvements.
