In-column buttons

Hello,

I’d like to suggest a feature: in-column buttons.

Right now we have an awesome Softr Database feature – buttons that trigger workflows, but… these buttons can’t be used in the frontend.

It would be great to be able to add them there also.

A second, related feature would simply be the ability to add a button as a column content and connect them to a workflow or an API call.

What’s the point? Right now we can trigger actions by:

  1. Using “Action buttons.” This is great, but the buttons are floating/pinned at the very end of the table.

  2. Using a workaround with checkboxes triggering a workflow. But this is limited – even if the backend changes the state (false → click → true → action → false), the user must refresh the page to get confirmation. And what’s even more frustrating: the click from the UI is always tracked in the “Updated By” field as the Softr Admin. It’s not connected to the app user.

Having possibility to add button as column content IMO would greatly improve possibilities within Softr aso sometimes we need button in exact spot of the table.
