Hi there!
I’m an actor, and I’ve been using Softr for about the last year and a half or so for my portfolio, contact, etc. The one thing I’ve always struggled with is the one that seems should be the simplest: the background image on my homepage. I want people to be able to go to my website and see my headshot with my name across it.
I’ve used different Hero blocks and whatnot, deleting all text other than my name and then just putting my headshot as the background image. I sometimes have to mess with the padding on the text or background image to make sure most of the image is seen. This, however, causes a weird discrepancy between computer view and mobile view. If computer view looks good (with size of photo and size of text), then on mobile view, the photo is way too zoomed in and the text is way too big. If I edit it based on mobile view, then the computer view text is way too small and the image gets cut off.
Is there any way to have a photo that looks natural on both computer and mobile views? Would also love to know about the text size. It doesn’t make sense to me that Softr wouldn’t automatically adjust the size of photos and text when adjusting the size of the screen.
Thanks!
