From No-Code to Noteworthy: AdBacklog – A SaaS Built on Softr

Hi Softr community!

I’m Floris, and I’m excited to introduce AdBacklog—a campaign command center built to simplify and supercharge marketing workflows.

:star2: Why I founded AdBacklog

Like many marketers, I was frustrated by the chaos of juggling ads across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, analytics in GA4, file storage systems, Slack discussions, and spreadsheets. It felt scattered, slow, and unclear. I wanted one place where everything lives together—from planning to performance—so teams can move faster and smarter. That’s how AdBacklog was born: a centralized workspace tailored specifically for marketing teams and agencies.

:rocket: What AdBacklog is & what you can do with it

  • Centralize all campaign workflows: Keep ads, experiments, creative assets, notes, tasks, timelines, and performance data in one place
  • Flexible campaign management: View your campaigns via Table, Calendar, Kanban, or Timeline—and filter by funnel stage, channel, owner, or status
  • Built for collaboration: Assign responsibilities, invite teammates or clients with role-based access, and keep everyone aligned in real time
  • Creative asset handling: Store creatives (images, copy, videos) right alongside tasks, with version control and performance integration
  • Performance tracking & insights: Directly link results to campaigns and assets—so teams see what’s working and where to improve

:jigsaw: How I built it: Framer + Softr

  • Frontend (marketing site): Built with Framer—because I wanted a highly customizable, visually polished site that felt modern and dynamic—something static blocks in Softr couldn’t quite deliver.
  • Backend (app): Entirely constructed in Softr. It gives us the flexibility, speed, and simplicity to build campaign workspaces, create Kanban/Calendar views, manage user roles, and handle asset uploads—without writing complex backend code.

:chart_with_upwards_trend: Who it’s for

AdBacklog serves everyone from solo freelancers to full-scale agencies:

  • Freelancers/consultants: Get a professional system for managing client campaigns—without overkill.
  • Marketing teams: Create structure and transparency—so everyone knows what’s live, what’s next, and who’s responsible.
  • Agencies: Scale operations with client-specific workspaces, dashboards, and shared access.

:mag: Quick specs

Feature What it does

:rocket: What’s next & how to get involved

We launched AdBacklog publicly on June 2025 and more users are coming in on a daily basis.

If you’re als building a client portal with Softr and looking to grow your user base, attract clients, or manage campaigns across multiple channels (Google, Meta, LinkedIn), AdBacklog can help you stay on top of your campaigns, assets, and performance—all in one place. That’s exactly why I built AdBacklog—and why I’d love to invite fellow SaaS-makers to give it a try!

Awesome case Floris, nice to share this here with the community. I will check it out, also as an inspiration how you used Softr - first impressions look good!

Dutch greetings

I second your great looking app Floris. Was wondering how your “Softr” app’s landing pages looked so good. Will have to take a second look at Framer. Good luck!

How do you create workspaces and tie them into subscription tiers? And limiting them? Automation?

Thanks Stephan, good to hear

Hi @Iglooo,

Thanks for checking my app. I use Softr’s global data restrictions for all subscription tiers and user groups to set them apart. The only part I currently handle with Airtable automations is linking teams together. Once Softr supports Make.com, Zapier, or even its own native automation, I’ll move everything from Airtable to the Softr database for x10 speed.

Does this answer your question?
