Drag blocks next to each other to create a two-column format

Hey team! I’d personally love the ability to easily create two-column layouts, so that I can place two blocks next to each other, rather than needing to do so vertically. Note: on mobile, the two-column layout would need to revert back to single-column, to prevent horizontal scrolling.

In other words, right now this is the only option:

I’d like to instead be able to drag two blocks next to each other, like so:

Hey,

Thank you very much for your message and screenshots. We are thinking on adding new stylings to our blocks including adding side-by-side block placement this year (supposedly, if everything goes well, in Q3).

Meanwhile, enjoy the app!

Regards,
Marine

Thank you! That’s great to hear (and definitely something that multiple people want; I think I saw a similar request here just a day or two ago). Thanks so much for everything that you and the Softr team do to constantly improve!

Yeah would love this feature!

In the meantime, you can have two columns with a bit of tinkering.

Hi Marine,

Any updates on this?
Eagerly waiting on this feature

thanks,
David

Hey @Spooky,

The feature has not been implemented yet.

Unfortunately, I cannot mention any estimation :frowning:

How about now? It’s a bit of a game changer for me…

hey @Spooky @adalys ,
as a non codey guy I just can recommend this easy coding from another user. In any case of question just ask.

Jackson,

I’m using the free version of Softr, so I can’t use custom code, unfortunately…

any update on this?

Hey @Tools,

Still no update on this, we are working on a few very important releases now that will be launched this month
