Disappointing!
You can request a custom plan and have custom number of records per database.
@artur @Lockdown155 I requested a quote for 1,000,000 DB records. The same number of records included in the Business plan. The problem is the price was over $1,700/mo (I’m in Canada so it’s closer to $2,400/mo. for us). That is the point of this thread. Softr says the Business plan comes with a 1,000,000 records but you can’t use them all in one project. We’re forced to upgrade to an Enterprise plan at a ridiculous price.
I’ve used Airtable, SmartSuite, and GlideApps. I invested in Softr because of the value. Without being able to utilize the 1,000,000 records included in the Business plan, and now with the user limits in the Business plan being reduced from 2,500 to 500 it’s hard to see the value Softr is providing smaller businesses.
When I spoke with sales yesterday, they indicated Softr is moving their focus to larger clients (Enterprise). Softr’s pricing and feature limits are certainly starting to reflect this.
We’re not close to the 200,000 limit either, but the focus away from SMB is terrifying, with as much time as we’ve put into this platform. yikes.
@TobyMacLeod @sarah_h is there any reason you are not using supabase? I know the ui for the Soft db is great for users but I also know it does not scale both in size and throttling. That is when I either replace it with Supabase (still an “ok” ui) or compliment it, I use the softr_id to connect the records in Supabase. This does not show up in the ui but allows me to query supabase records when looking at for example a softr record with 1000’s for related records or more. Though some apps are 100% supabase and that works as well. Just a thought
@TobyMacLeod The numbers don’t scale linearly…. to build a car with 100 hp is not a big deal but to build a car with 600hp is a big deal and 10x if not more expensive… this applies to pretty much everything…
@dailyaistudio supabase could be cheap for records but when your query runs for 3 mins and fails you might need to then pay 5x more to make it work ![]()
