Since I recorded this video, many new advancements and functions have been implemented, including a redesigned calendar and booking system. Previously, these were handled by Calendly and Fillout, but they are now managed through the Siftr calendar. I just haven’t had time to record all the new functions yet. Sorry that the video is a bit long—it was a quick live recording showcasing some of the functions.

 Hi guys! This is my contest submission, hope you like it!

Gym Owner - Internal Management App
This is an internal app for gym owners. With this app they can manage their business in a more effective and easy way, rather than using a spreadsheet.

:film_projector: Quick Loom Explanation:

Application Link: https://powerfitstudio.softr.app/
(only admin access for now)

Posted on my LinkedIn Account too! @Jjenglert please check, I couldn’t add multiple links here. Thanks!

This is a custom built application, from scratch (not using templates)/custom database as well.

I’ve added all the required new components:
:white_check_mark: The new navigational block
:white_check_mark: The new table block
:white_check_mark: The new sign-up/sign-in blocks
:white_check_mark: The new charts as well

I’ve also created custom design assets to make the design look better.

The problem:
Many business owners start building something to manage their internal operations using Spreadsheets. But this comes with a bunch of problems and it is not ideal.
This is a very real example and it comes from a real life situation I’ve faced myself. The gym owner from the gym studio that I go to basically uses spreadsheets to manage students and training but he has no valuable information from that data and it is a mess, so I am trying to solve this issue by building a new (simple) yet powerful new internal tool for this business. With just a simple MVP like this, there are valuable information that can be used to drive strategic decisions and it will save a ton of time managing daily operations too, also it is way more pleasing to look at!

With this app the Gym Owner (Admin) can:

  • Manage all Gym Members (add custom information about each member)
  • Keep track of active and inactive members
  • Visualize valuable information via a Dashboard to take action on important KPIs
  • Create and Manage Training and Workout plans
  • Visualize what types of interests most members have (to adapt strategy)

In terms of design I’ve tried my best to incorporate best practices and the visual identity of this gym brand (Power Fit), I’ve also made sure the navigation and usability is working well adding page sections, quick shortcuts and visible and structured information for each page.
Hope I could also alter the chart colors, but I guess this is coming soon after the updates.

This is just the basic to add value to this business, removing the need of using spreadsheets, that not only look ugly, but are also hard to manage and won’t provide insights like this dashboard can do.

In the future we can do much more like:

  • Organize and keep track of physical evaluations (we already have a basic field to add one)
  • Add the calendar with meetings, in-person evaluations and other important gym events
  • Make the user facing app, to provide content and the workout plan to the studens
  • and much more…

Hello everyone, here’s my submission!

I’ve built a waste management internal app for businesses to track their waste in a structured way and embark all employees in lowering their environmental impact.

I relied on the new navigation block to provide a smooth interface, the new table block to display all the logs in a nice way and make them exportable, new forms to capture data easily, new tabs and charts to provide some very nice analytics.

With that app (that I’d like to turn into a template), any company can set up their waste management policy and start tracking it. They get ready-to-import data to fuel their eventual carbon accounting software that would convert this data into CO2 data as part of their corporate carbon footprint.

I really think that the new Softr makes it so easy to build apps that sustainability teams can gain autonomy to build the tools they need to make progress on their sustainability agenda without other teams being a bottleneck for this digital tooling.

I’ve added an AI chatbot to bring even more options for the users to get some support on their questions regarding waste management or to log some data into the app.

Curious to hear your feedback, and congratulations to all participants of the contest, your app all look incredible :fire:

Really nice design @Julien and congrats with the prize!

One thing that caught my eye was your CMS system because of the very limited native support of Softr on this particular need.
In particular the use of inline images was nice to see.

Did you manage to build something that makes it possible to add inline images in the text wherever one wishes? Or is it a more fixed system with images added to the text at fixed positions throughout the article?
